William Lee
Dr. Lee is the President & CEO, Co-Founder of eMembrane, Inc. eMembrane is a development stage nano-bio startup based in Providence, Rhode Island focusing on the commercialization of Multifunctional Polymeric Materials and Membranes for chemical and biological applications. Dr. Lee is a leading scientist in the field of surface modification technology. He received his Bachelor, Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo in Chemical Engineering. After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital on gene therapy. Dr. Lee is a co-inventor on 15 patent applications related to all his works. Prior to founding eMembrane, Dr. Lee worked for JAFCO, Japan's largest venture capital firm. He speaks, writes and reads five languages.
