Robin Ng
Dr. Robin Ng received his B.Sc. in Chemical and Materials Engineering from National Central University, Taiwan. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from The Ohio State University. His research focused on three-dimensional stem cell process development and fabrication of nanomaterials for tissue engineering applications. He has published and reviewed numerous papers in the field. He is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
During his study at Ohio State, Robin co-founded Techriculture, a non-profit organization dedicated to help investors and scientists in early stage technology commercialization, product ideation and prototype development. Robin has also worked with BioOhio (previously Omeris) in preparing 2005 Ohio Biosciences Growth Report and biobusiness attraction efforts.
Robin started his career as a Process Development Scientist at Goodwin Biotechnology, Inc. in Plantation, Florida. He is currently a Senior Bioengineer in Cell Culture Process Development at Shire Human Genetic Therapies in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During his career, Robin has also served on the Advisory Board for Institute of Technology Innovation, Eugenio Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center at Florida International University and Biotechnology Program at Miami Dade College in Miami. He is currently serving on the Scientific Advisory Board for Cambridge Health Institute’s Bioprocessing Summit and American Institute of Chemical Engineers’ Young Professional Advisory Board.
